Here are some good rules that are up to the western way of living for mail order brides. So if you are a mail order bride and your groom has already proposed to you and you're going to go to his place, you are to know this by all means.

Let's take Norway for example. There the use of make-up is not that popular and if you still put some make-up on your face it should be not that bright and they will really appreciate it if it's a bit reserved. If you use a lipstick then you shouldn't focus on your eyes. And vice versa. As far as your clothes are concerned, they shouldn't be too bright as well. Here it's better to stick to a rule: the worse clothes are on, the better. Of course if you go to a party, you may put on everything you want and your make-up may be as bright as you like, but if you're at the university or at work, be so kind and have smth strict and not bright on.
